The 35th Precinct

I saw Happy Feet today. I enjoyed it immensely despite its overtly preachy ending and Robin Williams' occasional lapses into over-the-top hysteria. How could you not like penguins who sang such favorites as "Kiss", "Somebody to Love", "Heartbreak Hotel", "My Way", "Leader of the Pack", and "Boogie Wonderland"? Mumble was adorable, and if I ever find a stuffed version, he's coming home with me. I'm not sure it's as fabulous as some critics are suggesting, but it is absolutely worth seeing.

The Order of the Phoenix trailer made me want to cry. Rickman is very clearly showing his age now, and Daniel Radcliffe is most assuredly no longer a child. No Thestrals as far as I could see, and Roomie didn't think Umbridge was, well, Umbridge. Helena Bonham Carter looked wonderfully mad as Bella, however, so all may not be lost.
