After posting the fourth chapter of Through a Glass Darkly, I watched GOF on DVD. It was better the second time around, but I still loathe Gambon's Dumbledore. Dumbledore is barmy as a warped door, but he is not prone to anger or dirty, and he did nothing in the movie to merit the title of Greatest Wizard of the Age. In fact, he was largely a bumbling nitwit, half a beat behind everyone else. It was Snape who noticed the goblet going haywire and Fleur who first realized Cedric was dead, and Fleur has the mental werewithal of a tapped keg.

I also want to know why, if the Imperius Curse causes opacity in the iris and pupil, doesn't the Ministry just give Aurors opthamologists' lights? And why wouldn't friends and family notice the Evil Dead look?

My hands, they are throbbing. I've been playing the GOF video game for 12 hours. It certainly wasn't what I had planned, but I have the unfortunate habit of becoming so immersed in a game that essential activities such as eating, bathing, and peeing fall by the wayside in my quest for console domination. In one memorable Zelda marathon, I played for 24 hours.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to fic before I play tomorrow, but I have my doubts. Maybe if I leave the Gamecube unplugged...
