I wish that I could tell you that this weekend has been packed with industry, but all I did was watch Diary of the Dead and several hours of Babylon 5 S2. Boxleitner has two expressions--righteous indignation and chronic constipation--but I love the conflict between G'Kar and Londo, and Kosh is fascinating. And even if I thought the rest of the series was a tired space opera, the episode "Comes the Inquisitor" was worth the price of the set."
On the ficcing front, I've accomplished diddly and squat with the verve of a professional. I did write 1,291 words of Et Tu X, but that was four days ago. Flack has been tending his sanctuary for all that time, and I'm determined to get him moving. I'd like to hit my standard quota, but I'll settle for a page at this point.
Finally, I haven't yet listened to Rammstein, but The Verve Pipe's "Freshmen" is as awesome as I remembered. It's hard to believe it's twelve years old.
( Verve Pipe Lyrics and Flack/Stanhope Meta With a Smattering of Snape )
It's a surprisingly potent song of grief and guilt wrapped in a fuzz-toned, alterna-grunge package. Thank God for one-track repeat.
