That is the most interesting Christmas exchange I've heard of in a while. I'm not sure it would work in a lot of American households, though. It has the potential to start brawls when someone doesn't want to give up their gift. I'm guessing his family doesn't harbor that many resentments and festering hurts. In mine, someone would go up on assault charges after someone accused another of taking their gift just to be a spiteful prick.
I wonder how it works, though. Does that mean only one of his three children gets a gift from him, or does he mean you only buy one gift per person? It must work for them, or they wouldn't do it.
