I went to the grocery store this morning in search of pico de gallo, but their meager selection was gassed and skanky, so I came home, turned on the UFC marathon, and ate a salad. Pico when it's good is some of the best stuff on earth, but in this age of gassed produce, it's getting harder and harder to find the good stuff. Once upon a time, you could kip into a Mexican restaurant and buy the good stuff for a few dollars, but even they've turned to the gassed, tasteless, underripe, rubbery "produce". Sometimes progress blows.
I'm still working on Part IV of "Detail Man", but so help me, if the end isn't in sight by today, I'm setting it aside to work on part XIII of Sprache because Dean Winchester's rabbiting on is eating my creative life and making me a peevish, resentful Guera.
