Part VI of Sprache is finished, but I still need to proofread it, so it won't go up until tomorrow or Saturday. At least it's done and backed up. Now I can go see A Nightmare on Elm Street with a clear conscience. Unlike most of the Internet, I don't think Jackie Earle Haley is the greatest thing since bumping uglies, and I hate Katie Cassidy. Suffice to say that my expectations are not high, but I'm a bona fide horror junkie, and it's Freddy Krueger, and I can't help myself because Freddy gave me serious nightmares as a rugrat(I once made the mistake of peeking from behind my parents' couch while they were watching it when I was six or seven. Oh, such a bad, bad idea. Curiosity didn't kill me, but it made me a hysterical wreck for weeks afterward, and for years, I obsessed about the precise location of Elm Street, convinced that no one was going to let good ole Freddy hitch a ride with them to Florida.). So, bad as it's likely to be, there's a nostalgic attachment to Freddy that I can't shake.
Now I'm off to vegetate in front of the TV and wait for the continuing angsty misadventures of the Brothers Winchester.
