Aside from financial didoes, not much of note today. I don't want to froth about the money woes because they're supposed to be resolved by tomorrow morning. If they're not, I'll be only too happy to rant about the rampant fuckwittery of American banking in lurid and colorful detail. Suffice to say that if they're not resolved, I'm going to have to choke a bitch or three.
On the "Isn't the Internet fun?" front, the Google/GMAIL hack is a case of AOL DNS cache poisoning; i.e., the hackers have infected the AOL DNS with a false certificate so that folks unlucky enough to accept the bogus certificate will have their GMAIL login stolen.
AOL is working on the problem, but until they've cleared the cache of the hack/worm, it's recommended that all AOL users clear their cache and browser histories and use Firefox with the Customizegoogle add-on, which increases Google security. In addition, replacing all current Google bookmarks with the international version is recommended, at least until AOL can complete its cache purge and patch.
