Another thousand in the books. Haldir isn't going to take this well. Rumil has taken an interesting bent, and I can't wait to see where it goes.

I'm enjoying my re-immersion in LOTR fandom. I haven't dusted off my old accounts or joined any new fora, nor do I intend to, but it's fun to lurk in the ONTD Hobbit party posts. I have no great hardon for Richard Armitage or Aidan Turner, the designated fandom sexpots, but there are plenty of LOTR macros and perving posts, and the meme of Thranduil and his party elk is amazing.

I could have gone my whole life, however, without knowing that someone wants to "lift Gollum's loincloth and make him forget all about his Precious." Part of me, jaded by years of fannish involvement, thinks, Meh. Whatever floats your boat, man, but most is gibbering and yowling like a scream queen who mistook her curling iron for her cherished pocket rocket.
