More and more, I find myself tempted to nuke my Tumblr. Though I have more followers there than I ever have anywhere else, the interaction is nil, and I suspect that most of my followers are there simply because I'm not a porn bot, and not because I am just that damn fabulous. What's more, there's absolutely no interest in writing there, though a few dogged souls post short fics that people like but seldom reblog and never reward with a comment. But lo, I am not a short-fic writer, nor do I have the patience to code and format 30,000 to 100,000 words at a stretch for its kludgy system.

About the only attraction it holds for me is that it's a treasure trove of Karl Urban pretty and boasts a wide selection of other hotties as well. If it weren't for that, I'd've nuked it weeks or months ago without a twinge of regret. At least I won't be that sorry when whoever buys it next just pulls the damn plug and forces the sheltered, whiny younglings to fend for themselves in the unforgiving Internet wilds.

As for me and the rest of the day, I'm going to enjoy the crisp blue sky from the warmth of the sunroom, and I'm sure he'll get around to making tacos for lunch soon.

"the interaction is nil"

The main reason I nuked mine years ago. And that's before I really started to notice the drama there, holy crap. Made the most dramatic LJ kerfuffles seem quite tame by comparison. I'd look at my Tumblr feed, and I was just so bored by the whole thing.

I know what you mean... In the beginning, I thought Tumblr might actually be something. That notion was dispelled rather quickly.

"most people didn't want interaction or conversation"

Ditto. And I thought, just what is the point of this thing? Am I supposed to just scroll through, looking at this endless flow of stuff, and that's it? Not to mention seeing the same stuff over and over as it got reblogged. It was mind-numbing. I found it not only tedious, but depressing.
