Surprise, surprise for me, my mother is here. Apparently, my rich but crazy uncle has somersaulted off the wagon again and stressed her so badly that she and PC have fled up here to consider their options, as living in my uncle's apartment is not feasible. They'd thought Franklin or Hendersonville or Gainesville, but none of those cut the mustard(for my mother, at least), so now she's toying with the idea of North Florida.

Things are strained but cordial, and if we're lucky, careful, and avoid all talk of politics, they might stay that way. She was going to be here ten days, but now that she's decided that they won't be living here, she's getting restless, and I doubt they make a week.

And hey, as a sweet bonus, it might end in a small windfall for my upcoming trip.
