Nine hundred and sixty words today.
Thanks to Hulu, I watched the last act of last night's Almost Human. Hackneyed plot aside, it was one of the strongest episodes of the season in terms of character development for both John and Dorian, and even Maldonado got to show her more supportive side. As his superior, she can't get that close to him, but it's clear that she holds a soft spot for Kennex. The scene in her office hints that the relationship is quite well established, and I wonder just how far back it goes.
The SFPDs priorities with regard to their mechs are quite skewed if they'd rather give charging priority to those serving as glorified coffee gophers and file clerks than to an officer active in the field who has proven his bravery, skill, dedication, and ability to save lives and support his partner to his detriment. And they can't charge Dorian, but they can keep the vending machine plugged in? I realize they did it for reasons of plot contrivance, but really now. What if Dorian had conked out before gaining the ledge or before frying the villain? He would have plunged to his irreparable death, and John would have died. Wow, that's a great tradeoff for the three cents of power you saved by not letting Dorian charge. But at least King Jackass got to keep his fashionable coffee tote.
