Vorenus redeemed himself a thousand times over when he leaped into the fray to rescue Pullo in the arena. His tearful anguish as watched Pullo's dogged defense of the Thirteenth's honor was the stuff of great storytelling.
Caesar did himself no favors, but the manner of his assassination was so cowardly that I can hold neither sympathy nor admiration for his murderers, and I hope Marc Antony runs them down. From the looks of the few participants milling around once the carnage was over, their great triumph for the Republic felt like anything but. Good. There was nothing honorable in their plot, and they should take no pride in it.
