These past few seasons, I have watched CSI:NY and declared it back from the dead, only to see the wheels not just fall off, but shoot off with the propulsive force of a rocket-propelled grenade. So let's leave it at this for now: I enjoyed this episode, and I hope to enjoy next week's episode as well. I will absolutely not point out Mac's raging hypocrisy in failing to disclose his anoxic aphasia to his colleagues or superiors because I gave up hope for any consequences for anyone's actions on this show. After Brooks' steadfast refusal to harm anyone with his fires in this episode, they'd better have a good explanation for why he's suddenly merrily flambeing people by the next. But this is NY I'm talking about, so they likely won't, and I'll end up grinding my teeth into aching, miserable stubs.
Blue Bloods was excellent, as usual. But God, do they ever lay the noble, self-sacrificing Frank Reagan on thick sometimes.
