Day 33 of the government shutdown, wa wa wa-ooh.
Now that I know what's wrong with my tooth, it no longer hurts as much. I'm not dumb enough to eat on that side, but my jaw is no longer a knot of tension on the side of my face. I'm terrified of the upcoming filling and its attendant needle, but it is what it is, and I'd rather have ten seconds of unhappiness than the misery of a root canal.
In happier news, I got to pet a dog in the parking lot of the movie theater this afternoon. The unbridled joy of a friendly dog is one of the world's kindest gifts. I only wish they had dogs on standby in the dentist's office.
