Two thousand four hundred and forty-eight words since last update.
So, as I mentioned on Tumblr yesterday, I found a dentist after YEARS of searching. The dentist was amazing. He listened and examined thoroughly and asked questions and listened to the answers. I LOVE HIM, and will be his patient until one of us dies.
His verdict? My teeth are in very good shape, though he can see clear evidence of grinding. No cavities. My gums, however...
I need a deep-scale debridement of huge pockets of tartar below the gumline, so I'll likely have to be heavily-sedated or deeply-anesthetized to allow them to get it out. Not fun, but I like my teeth and want to keep them, so back I go.
When it's over, I'm going to feel awesome, and I won't be afraid to smile at Captain Kiwi. Bless this dentist and his sweet hygienist. Bless his patience with my involuntary twitching. Bless him for caring about my broke, spastic ass.
