I watched The Reaping last night because it had been sitting in my to-be-watched pile for months. Meh. It was your standard boogaboo mishmash of Rosemary's Baby, Signs, The Exorcist, and The Omen. There was also a totally gratuitous scene of Hillary Swank bumping uglies. At least it was only five bucks down the drain.
The Atlanta portion of my Rammstein account shot past nine thousand words last night. Yay. As soon as it's finished and posted, I'm going to start the train and NYC Day 1 portion of my account and then placate Fictional!Richard's desire for attention and the continuation of his adventures. Sometimes, I really wish voice recognition software was a viable alternative to typing, but when I tried it some years ago with Dragon Naturally Speaking, it was a dismal failure. The program had trouble recognizing my speech and syntactic patterns, and I was constantly screaming, "Delete!" into my headset. My narrative flow was constantly interrupted by the need to say, "Comma" or "Exclamation point" or "New paragraph." It was immensely frustrating, and I went back to typing two weeks later. I can see the pictures in my head perfectly clearly if I use voice recognition software but am utterly incapable of translating those images into words unless my fingers are tapping the keys.
