Fuck Hackers and the Motherboards They Fondle

I'm not dead. The day before yesterday, my ISP called to tell me that a metric assload of spam was being generated from my IP. They told me that if I didn't solve the problem, they'd terminate my account. I ran a virus scan with Trendmicro and another with Avast and found three viruses and thirteen trojans(oh, my God), but I have no idea if I've found the culprit, and "technical" support was no help. When I told them I was homebound and couldn't just kip to the computer store to have it cleaned, they told me I could just "leave the computer off." Really? Could I? And pay you forty-nine dollars for access I can't use? Thank you so much. So I called various stores to see if I could get a tech to make a housecall. And I could. For $300.

So, if I disappear suddenly, that's why. I can't afford to pay a tech to do a fancier version of a System Restore, and though Avast bitchslapped the viruses it found, I'm not sure it caught the culprit. So, if you receive an email from any of my email addresses, it's not me.
