I accomplished squadoosh today in the ficcing department. It rained for most of the day, and by the time the rain subsided, I was engrossed in The Next Food Network Star. I've become scarily invested in cooking reality shows. First Top Chef, and now this.
My money's on Shane or Kelsey, by the by.
I'm disappointed that I didn't saddle up today, but Et Tu X has crossed the 10,000-word mark, so it's hardly anemic. It focuses more on Flack's past and dysfunctional family relationships than I'd originally intended, but since so much of my Flack/OFC crackverse is predicated on the human tendency to repeat the past even as we try to escape it and create a better future, I shouldn't be surprised.
Tomorrow promises more rain, but I'm hopeful that I'll be able to put in a few hours tomorrow evening.
