I tried to go on Talk last night, but a popup kept crashing Mozilla and booting me from the Internet. Bugger it. CSI:NY is in a lull anyway. Now if only LJ would stop looking for imaginary kiddie diddlers and fix their DDoS woes so users were able to post more than four lines. I have not yet been affected, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
I saw Mr. Brooks. It wasn't a bad movie by any stretch, certainly much better than most Costner fare, but I can't recommend it without reservation, either. It was interesting in that it presented a serial killer in a sympathetic light, and there were several instances where I found myself rooting for him. However, I just couldn't buy Demi Moore as a millionaire cop badass. If you are a fan of psychological implication, catch a matinee, but skip the full-price ticket.
Speaking of full price, my theater has raised ticket prices to $5.75 for matinee and $8.75 for regular price. I thought subjecting a captive audience to eighteen minutes of ads and previews was supposed to stabilize ticket prices. Soon, movies will be out of my reach as an entertainment option, and at $8.00, paperback books aren't far behind. I'm running out of leisure activities.
