Au Revoir, FandomTalk, and Merci, Keppler

All the family chicanery has bungled my cycle but good, and I'm four days late, bloated and logy and just bleagh. And unless my vivid, dirty imagination has developed extraordinary superpowers, no, there is no possibility I could be pregnant. ~sulk~ It's been so long since I opened my legs for that particular endeavor that if I looked now, I'd probably find a damned convent.

FandomTalk, the site from whence I followed CSI after Supernatural switched nights, is going toes up because its eyes were bigger than its financial stomach and they can no longer pay the recappers. I'm sorry to see the recaps go, but not surprised. When I found it in 2006, it was a recap site with movie and TV forums. And then, for some inexplicable reason, it expanded to include books, music, and DVDs. God knows why, as I don't recall the masses clamoring for a Zamfir forum.

Anyway, I'll never fathom why so many site owners commit the fatal mistake of overextension. If you're a successful recap site, why expand to blogs, icons, captions, and tons of extraneous crap no one requested? Why not be happy with your tiny corner of fandom or the Internet?

Now I have to find another way to follow the hijinks of CSI. Is Keppler a good CSI or a snake in the grass? Fandom opinion appears to be split, but I will love him forever for exposing Catherine as the ambitious, conniving, Ecklie-clone cuntbag she is. Not to mention gutless and incompetent at interpersonal management. Thanks, Kep.
