Back in the Saddle Again

Diddly. That's what I've achieved today, and that's the amount of feedback "Going Under" has generated on FF.net since its debut there, a fact which surprises me not a little since even the direst porn or sugarfix filk gets a nod. No word from csi_ny_fic, either. Perhaps it was too introspective and lacking in concrete ties to the rest of the CSI: NY world. It was a character piece, after all, and unless someone is angsting about their unrequited love for another canon character or reflecting on the love and hot, steamy buttsecks they lost, no one pays much mind.

Ah, well, I liked writing it.

Undaunted, I have begun what looks to be the prequel one-shot to the HP/CSI: NY crossover I spawned a few days back. This puppy won't be anywhere but here because it's just CSI enough to be rejected by the Potter archives and just Potter enough to earn a no-thanks from the small CSI archives. It's also self-indulgent flangst, and flangst attracts trolls like the smell of children's underwear under a bridge abutment.

Also, I've restarted hexennacht's George/Draco/Sorting Hat drabble. If I put 500 words a day into the next week, it should be all good.
