I should regain the use of my hands in a day or three. God, but X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is addictive. I foresee many nights before the TV in a shrieking froth of bug-eyed intensity. The controls are a cinch, and it has a nice, graduated learning curve. Abyss is currently handing me my ass from atop a speeding dirigible, but tomorrow, vengeance is mine.
Ultimate Spiderman is disappointing. I have yet to master the art of web-swinging, and until I do, The Human Torch is going to smoke my butt in the cross-city race. ComicBook!Spidey is graceful and fleet of foot on the webs. My!Spidey flails and jerks and turns himself around in a spastic's rendition of the Hokey Pokey. It's sad, and I wouldn't be surprised if my incoherent howls of rage awakened my upstairs neighbor.
